He began his professional career by co-creating the development plan for Nowy Sącz Market Square. He quickly became known as a designer seeking unconventional solutions, exemplified by the Panorama restaurant opened in 1967. This building, equipped with an expansive terrace and glazed halls facing the Dunajec river, served as the showcase of the Sącz experiment.
The architect also possessed a distinct sense of detail, which he demonstrated in 1962 by designing the interior of the Warsaw café Sądeczanka using an original mosaic made from river stones and cross-sections of tree trunks. Among his widely known smaller forms are wooden bus shelters with high gable roofs, which have permanently become part of the landscape of the Sącz region and Podhale.
In the later period of his career, he focused on more complex public buildings, such as the Museum of Folk Art in Paszyn and the conference-accommodation Beekeeper's House in Kamianna. Simultaneously, he designed innovative sacred buildings, giving them a modernist-regional expression. His churches in Ochotnica Górna, Siedliska, Rytro, and on the Helena estate in Nowy Sącz are characterised by irregular shapes and fancifully broken roofs with open trusses, thus referencing traditional wooden construction.
His intensive professional activity was connected with involvement in the Association of Polish Architects (SARP), to which he was admitted in May 1965. On behalf of this organisation, he co-led regional educational campaigns promoting wooden architecture traditions in the early 1970s. In October 1978, he represented the Sącz-Podhale branch at the World Congress of Architects in Mexico, and in April 1979 he obtained SARP expert qualifications.
His contribution to regional development earned him numerous state distinctions; in 1976 he received the Minister of Administration award for shaping regional forms and mountain recreational areas. A year later he was a laureate of the team award from the Minister of Spatial Planning for the spatial development plan of the Nowy Sącz voivodeship. He was additionally honoured with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (1978), Gold, Silver (1972) and Bronze Crosses of Merit, as well as the Coat of Arms Shield Distinguished for the City of Nowy Sącz (1973).
